This special lunch program offers 1 LEED Specific GBCI CE Hour, and is presented in partnership with Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) Greater St. Louis Chapter.

Speaker Paul Bertram will discuss basic material evaluation and specification considerations from the specifier’s perspective in relation to LEED v4. Potential legal ramifications, qualified assessors, LEED v4 Material Transparency, as well as tools and resources for navigating this topic will be explored.

Paul is the Director of Environment & Sustainability at Kingspan Insulated Panels North America and President of PRB Connect accepting special assignments. He participates in Kingspan’s green initiatives including Kingspan’s Global mandate of Net Zero Energy by 2020 and GRI Sustainability reporting. His responsibilities include LEED® projects, material transparency through LCA/EPD reporting and he was responsible for coordinating the first of its kind EPD that was UL certified. Additionally, he led Kingspan as a BETA participant in the HPD (Health Product Declaration) reporting.  Paul is a Fellow and Lifetime member of CSI – Construction Specifications Institute and CSC – Construction Specifications Canada and a Past President of the CSI Institute.
