Energy Efficiency Housing Contest Winners

The St. Louis Association of REALTORS and Housing and Community Solutions recently announced the five winners in the 2013 Energy Efficient Housing Contest, and several Chapter members were among them!

Chapter member Patty Maher, Owner of Tiger Lily Development, won first place in the Historic Rehab Category for the green restoration of 3457-3459 Wyoming in Tower Grove East. She is pictured above with Don Roe, Director of the City of St. Louis’s Planning & Urban Design Agency.

Ralph Wafer of Ralph Elgin Wafer, AIA Architecture +Planning and Gary Steps of Butterfly Energy Works, both Chapter members, and Anthony Garavaglia of Trumpet Constructors won first place in the New Construction Category for their work on 1455 Gregg, the St. Louis Region’s first Passive House. Gary, Ralph, and Anthony are pictured above with Lou Abboussie, assistant to U.S. Rep William Lacy Clay.

Tim Montgomery, architect and LEED AP, won second place in the design-only category for his design of 4805 Northland, Kingsway East, St. Louis City. He is pictured above with Alderman Sam Moore.
