How Energy Efficient Is Your School?

Saving energy and therefore money is an important goal for all schools.
However, it's difficult to set goals and action plans if you don't know
where you're starting from. Energy Star Portfolio Manager is a free
web-based tool that anyone can utilize to benchmark and assess energy
usage of your school. Portfolio Manager can also provide a 'grade' for
your energy usage including awards for the top performers!

Join the USGBC-Missouri Gateway Chapter Green Schools Subcommittee
to learn more about this free resource as well as lighting strategies
to reduce your school's energy usage. Erik Lueders, Resource
Conservation Manager for Parkway School District will kick of the
presentation by outlining a step by step process for how to get
started. A Lighting Associates presenter will then take a cross
section of different spaces ina a school and present recommended
control strategies for each space and identify the impact they
can have on energy usage.
