JoAnn is part of HOK’s Sustainable Champions group (St. Louis office), where she participates in the firm-wide committee to reduce carbon emissions. To date, four of her projects have pursued LEED certification with two additional buildings in the process of becoming LEED registered. Her current focus is learning how the building envelope contributes to LEED certification through materials and detailing.

JoAnn has served on the USGBC-Missouri Gateway Board as Communications Chair, Secretary and Treasurer and is currently Chair of the Chapter. She is also a member of the American Institute of Architects-St. Louis Chapter and the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards.
