Founded in 2001, we are much more than a member group or professional organization–membership and course fees cover only 30% of our budget. Along with providing valuable education and networking opportunities for members and non-members alike, we provide a wide-range of outreach and advocacy programs, such as our Green Schools efforts, which provide resources and programs to ensure that every child attends a green school within this generation. The Regional Environmental Internship Program’s Climate Action Internship , which we recently inherited from another non-profit places interns with local governments to develop a Greenhouse Gas Inventory and Climate Action Plan for the municipality. Currently interns are placed in Maplewood and Wildwood.

Our Scholarship Program provides individuals from underserved or underrepresented audiences the opportunity to attend regional green building conference or supports their pursuit of a LEED professional accreditation.  We also aim to assist students and emerging professionals entering the workplace with our Green Shadow Program, a one-day mentorship program with local business people working on green building and sustainability.
