Join us on September 19th as we dive into why sustainability in facility operations is crucial and how it is possible. The Mastercard Environmental Sustainability team as well as its Facilities team will be leading us through their journey to LEED certification and re-certification. They will also highlight the expansion of solar panels and their carbon-reduction targets.

The event will be held at Mastercard’s LEED for Existing Buildings Operations & Maintenance (LEED EBOM) Platinum building – the only LEED EBOM Platinum-certified building in the state. After the event, there will be a guided tour of the building led by the Global Sustainability Manager. Food and refreshments will be provided throughout the program.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Examine why LEED re-certification is important and how it is possible.
  • Identify carbon-reduction strategies in a large office building and data center.
  • Discuss Science-Based Targets
  • Explore implementing Sustainable Sourcing principles within the build environment and thru the supply chain.
