Best.Drive.EVer: Electric Vehicle Marketplace, Infrastructure, Opportunities and Best Practices

ev 2Electric vehicles are now ready for prime time and automakers worldwide are investing billions of dollars in new electric vehicle options.  Get an overview of the fast-growing EV marketplace, including EV history, car manufacturers and models, and benefits of electric drives.

Electric Vehicle Service Equipment (EVSE), commonly known as “charging stations,” are an important part of the marketplace yet there is general lack of understanding about many considerations that should go into a well-designed installation.  We’ll cover the different types of charging and the design, installation, and operational considerations you should consider.

And thinking about our future, we’ll dive into the topic of how buildings can best accommodate autonomous vehicles that are probably coming sooner than you may realize.

Additionally, you’ll learn what Electrify America and the State of Missouri are doing with the funds from the VW settlement issue related to diesel emissions.

pat justis (2)Pat Justis, Ameren Missouri
Pat Justis is a manager with Ameren Missouri’s Energy Services Team and leads the company’s electric vehicle initiative.  Pat joined Ameren in 2008, when he was hired to help launch the Company’s first major energy efficiency program.  Pat is currently Board President for the Set the PACE St. Louis program in the city.  He is a founding member of and spent several years on the Board of the U.S. Green Building Council – Missouri Gateway Chapter.  Pat earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering from University of Missouri – Columbia and an MS in Environmental Science and Policy from the School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University – Bloomington.

Saleem Ahmad has been active in Canada’s entrepreneurial community since 2008. His strong understanding of technology trends led him to found Jrop, whose mission is to help real estate developers manage the disruption that driverless cars will bring. Saleem is primarily tasked with expanding the service portfolio of the company to provide a steady stream of innovative offerings such as: parking demand reduction, monetizing on-site traffic, and smart city integration. Prior to founding Jrop, he consulted for early stage tech startups, helping them find market fit and funding.
