March 14 Evening Program
Becoming a Performance Driven Firm

Presented in partnership with AIA-St. Louis

Being a top firm is about much more than getting design awards. The design community is recognizing that excellence is about design AND performance. This is reflected in the recently revised AIA Committee on the Environment’s Top Ten awards,  which now emphasizes the importance of actual building performance in addition to project’s design intent.

Is your firm consistently delivering high-performance buildings? Whether or not projects are LEED certified, you can develop internal systems and processes to ensure high performance projects across your portfolio. Successful companies realize improved project performance, increased profits and happier clients through performance-driven design.

This session will share frameworks, roadmaps and proven methodologies from successful firms to help attendees assess their current situation, identify strategic areas for improvement, and develop change management strategies to ensure widespread adoption of new processes and project delivery methodologies for continuous improvement.

March 15 Half Day Workshop
Project Delivery Mapping Workshop

Join us for a half day workshop to examine your firm’s current processes and methodologies, identify barriers to success, and formulate strategies to raise the bar and provide consistent, high quality performing projects.

How does your firm achieve excellence? Do you have a methodology to achieve consistent, high quality performance? Is sustainable, high performance design or LEED baked into your process? Is integrative design a myth or a reality for your teams? Have you signed the AIA 2030 Commitment and hit a wall – or just want to ensure success? This workshop will help you deconstruct your current project delivery process to identify barriers and formulate strategies to raise the bar and be on a path of continuous improvement. This is a fun, highly interactive way to have valuable dialogue within the firm while charting a course for the future that improves client services, business development and internal efficiencies.

Because this workshop is about how the firm operates, firms will benefit more if more representatives attend. A mix of principal, project manager and marketing or staff from across different business units yields an even richer output from the workshop which can inform discussions and actions back at the office afterwards. Firms sending 3 or more attendees will receive a 20% discount on registration.
