July Above & Beyond Volunteer Recognition

The USGBC-Missouri Gateway is committed to recognizing volunteers who have contributed significantly to the Chapter, devoting time and talents “above and beyond” on a particular project or program. This month we are happy to recognize Kevin Gates of Oates Associates, Tim Michels of Energy Resources Group, and Ryan Walsh of Ross & Baruzzini for their work on the Chapter’s Technical Committees

The three were nominated by Caryl Kinsey Fox, Chair of the Technical Committee, for their tireless efforts to support the Technical Committee’s work to champion green building research and develop in-depth educational opportunities.

Kevin Gates serves as the Committee’s Secretary. In her nomination, Caryl stated “Kevin’s prompt, concise, consistent and accurate minutes have allowed a tangible continuity of decisions, and has allowed committee members to stay up to date even when they are unable to attend.”

Ryan Walsh and Tim Michels worked together to produce an informative and in depth Tech Talk on Retro Commissioning: Investment vs. Reward. This panel discussion focused on the challenges and opportunities facing Retro Commissioning, and  provided the impetus for the production of many additional technical resources.

Thanks to Kevin, Ryan and Tim for your leadership and hard work!
