Our April program will take place at a UNIQUE DATE &
TIME as the lunch plenary of the St. Louis Earth Day Symposium.

We are excited to welcome Cole Roberts, co-author of the book “Two Degrees – Our Built Environment and the Changing Climate” as our April speaker. Cole will discuss risk, vulnerability and integrated adaptation a they relate to climate change, as well as the notion of climate positive communities. The presentation will explore what to focus on today for future resilience.
  • Examine climate adaptation as well as direct and indirect hazards.
  • Identify the relationship between vulnerability, risk, resilience, and resistance.
  • Communicate the importance of integrated adaptation
    and the opportunities of synergy and competitive interests.
  • Identify action and capitalize on the elements of “Successful Climate Response”.

Cole Roberts, Assoc. Principal – Energy & Resource Sustainability, Arup. Cole Roberts leads the energy and resource sustainability business in Arup’s San Francisco office. Specializing in design, planning, and consultation in the new and existing built environment, Cole has led dozens of projects to successful LEED® certification and ZNE achievement.

The presentation will begin promptly at 1:15pm; please arrive
and check in at 1:00pm, then make your way to the presentation area.

While there will not be networking or food as part of the
plenary presentation, registrants are welcomed to pay a fee of $20 for lunch if interested in attending the lunch and networking period before the presentation, from 12:00-1:15pm.

Free to USGBC-MGC and CSI Members and full time students;
Non-members must register for the Earth Day Symposium in order to attend.

Interested registrants may purchase lunch for $20 and attend the lunch & networking period from 12-1:15pm. Simply select the lunch option on the online registration form.

USGBC-MGC Members interested in attending the full conference may do so for a reduced rate ($100 for full conference, $70 for April 1 only). Select YES on the Sponsor Member option for discounted rate to appear.
