Permaculture Training: A Four-Day Design and Hands-On Intensive Class

In good permaculture design, work is minimized, yields (food, energy and income) are increased, wastes are eliminated and the environment is restored. This four-day foundational training course in permaculture design features a practical bent. Classroom and project components will be geared for the suburban or city resident who wants to transform their immediate environment into one of natural beauty, productivity and functionality. The workshop earns credit toward Permaculture Design Course (PDC) Certification.
Project-Based Training and Instruction will cover:

·        Water harvesting using rain gardens, rain tanks, grey water collection systems, swales

·        Intensive, ecological sensitive food production using backyard aquaponics, growing on concrete, rooftop and apartment gardening, simple greenhouse ideas, plant guilds

·        Energy sustainability through biomass generation, conservation measures, renewable technologies

·        Soil conservation and regeneration through hugelkultur, sheet composting, compost tea, designing and building earth berms

·        And more!
