Greening America’s Schools

Grist Magazine recently featured an article on U.S. Green Building Council’s Green Schools Program. USGBC staff, Rachel Gutter, answers questions the program, green schools state legislation and how President Obama’s daughter attends a green school. According to USGBC’s Green School Building’s website, green schools cost less to operate and free up resources to truly improve students’ education. One particular school in Manassas Park, VA sets an example for greening schools with curriculum and learning in mind.
