LEED Fellow Program Has Launched! Nominations open through Jan 7

GBCI’s new and most prestigious professional designation, the LEED Fellow, was recently unveiled. The LEED Fellow has been developed to honor and recognize distinguished LEED APs who have made a significant contribution to the field of green building and sustainability at a regional, national, or international level. The criteria for assessing potential LEED Fellows is based on five major dimensions of green building and sustainability that GBCI have identified to be mastery elements – Technical Proficiency, Education and Mentoring, Leadership, Commitment and Service, and Advocacy.

The LEED Fellow application process is a team effort between the nominator and nominee. Nominees for the LEED Fellow will be nominated by their peers. In the application process, the nominee and nominator will have multiple opportunities to document the nominee’s green building and sustainability knowledge, skills, and abilities in four of the five mastery elements.
