First LEED ND Project Certifies in St. Louis!

McCormack Baron Salazar’s Renaissance Place was recently award LEED for Neighborhood Development Certification under the Pilot Program. LEED for Neighborhood Development (ND) integrates the principles of smart growth, urbanism and green building into the first national system for neighborhood design. LEED for Neighborhood Development is a collaboration among USGBC, Congress for New Urbanism and the Natural Resource Defense Council.

Renaissance Place is the only LEED for Neighborhood Development Pilot Project to achieve certification in the St. Louis area. Congratulations to McCormack Baron Salazar and the St. Louis Housing Authority for this accomplishment! Now that LEED ND is out of the pilot phase and official, we hope this will be the first of many LEED ND projects in the St. Louis area!
